Gaskets are very common spare parts for equipment. If the installation is not correct, the gasket will be damaged during the operation of the device, and even danger may occur.
The tools specified in the factory must be prepared before installation. Various tools are required for cleaning and tightening the fasteners. In addition, standard installation equipment must be used and safe operation regulations must be observed.
1. Check and clean up
2. Align flange
3. Install the gasket
4. Lubricate the surface of the gasket
5. Install and tighten bolts
6. Tighten the bolt again:
Note: Consult the technical department of the seal manufacturer for guidelines and suggestions on tightening the bolts again.
Non-asbestos gaskets and gaskets containing rubber components that have been used at high temperatures cannot be tightened again (unless otherwise specified).
Fasteners subjected to corrosion and thermal cycling need to be tightened again. The tightening operation should be performed at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure.
